Our Mission

Our mission is to empower young athletes to grow as confident, compassionate leaders by combining the discipline and joy of sports with meaningful service to others. Through inclusive, skill-building programs and hands-on community volunteer work, we teach teamwork, resilience, and responsibility, on the court and beyond it. We strive to develop well-rounded youth who compete with integrity, support their teammates and neighbors, and create positive change in the communities they call home.

Coach Darien
Program Director / Head Coach
Coach Darien

Coach Darien is a former high school basketball athlete with over 10 years of player and coaching experience. He has a passion for developing young athletes and helping them reach their full potential on and off the court. Originally from Alabama and the oldest of seven children, Coach Darien knows what it means to work as a team and lead by example. His passion for the game and dedication to his players success in the classroom as well as the basketball court has made him a well-respected coach in the basketball community. One of his biggest joys in life is passing on his love for the game to the next generation of athletes and helping them achieve their dreams. He is excited to be the founder of the Capital City Crown and looks forward to working side by side with you on this journey.

Coach Alex is a former Division III college basketball player with a strong background in player development and team building. She is committed to helping the next generation of female athletes succeed in showcasing their talents and unlocking their potential to create a positive, supportive environment for growth. Born and raised in the inner city of New York, Coach Alex has a passion for giving back to her community and helping young athletes gain confidence along the way. Her dedication to the game and her players has made her a valuable asset to the team.
